Welcome to families

Children’s delight and parents’ pleasure are the prime concern of our village.


In summer:
numerous outings await you, on foot, mountain bike or arapaho (mountain scooter) or on horse-back in idyllic scenery.
Facilities such as a multisports ground, 2 tennis courts, the François-Xavier Bagnoud Observatory and a creche for young children, and other fascinating things to discover.


In winter:
Snowshoe excursions for both beginners and the more experienced, or on foot, will take you through magnificent snow-covered landscapes.
The Ski School, the ice-rink, the François-Xavier Bagnoud Observatory, the creche for young children, are all at your disposal.


Throughout the year there are lots of organised activities for the young and the young-at-heart.

Summer in the alpine pastures

From July 5th to August 13th 2010, Monday to Friday from 10.00am to 4.00pm
Your children will discover the nature surrounding us, the history and traditions of the Val d'Anniviers. Walking in the forest, visiting the watermills, discovering the Grand Bisse (irrigation canal), making rye-bread. A fun activity for each day...

Monday : Horse ride
Tuesday : A day learning to play tennis, barbecue
Wednesday : Discovering the watermills, the Bread Path and bread-making at the communal oven
Thursday : Cheese-making up at the Rouaz Chalet cheese farm
Friday : Quiz trail discovering nature and afternoon snack at the Illhorn cabane

Price:
1 day : CHF 25.-
5 day pass : CHF 110.-
Family rebate : 3rd child free of charge

Archery

Come and discover the pleasures of archery.
Introductory courses are given by Mr. Charly Pittet on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m.
Private lessons on request.
Cost for a group of 6 people: Frs. 20.- per person, including all the required equipment

Ice-rink
Come and have fun on the ice at the natural ice-rink Prilett', only 15 minutes on foot from the village and easy to get to by the ski-bus.
The ice-rink is open until 10 p.m.
Ice-Disco in high season every Friday. Skates for hire in the village sport shops.
